Our Process — Transparent, Staged, Customer-Oriented

Phase 1 — Design & Planning

We start with an on-site measure and discovery call. You receive 2–3 layout concepts, cabinet elevations, and a 3D preview so you can visualize the finished kitchen before construction begins.

Deliverables: on-site measure; 2–3 layout options; 3D renderings; cabinet elevations; materials & fixture selections; permit-ready drawings & engineering as needed.

Phase 2 — Permits, Approvals & Procurement

We submit the permit set to your city/county and coordinate long-lead items (cabinets, custom counters, specialty appliances) to match the construction schedule.

Common permits: building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical (range hood/venting).

Phase 3 — Demolition & Site Prep

We protect the rest of your home with dust barriers and floor protection. Demo is done carefully: cabinets, counters, flooring, and selective walls removed; hidden issues (rot, mold, structural) are documented and quoted transparently.

Phase 4 — Structural & Rough-In Work

Framing, beam installations, subfloor repairs, plumbing, electrical, and gas rough-ins are completed and inspected before finishes go in.

Technical Notes:

  • Electrical: islands & ovens often need dedicated 240V circuits; dishwashers/disposals require GFCI/AFCI protection.
  • Plumbing & Gas: shutoffs & pressure-tested lines for ranges, pot fillers, refrigerators.
  • Ventilation: hood ducting should vent exterior, short & straight with proper flashing.

Phase 5 — Cabinets, Countertops & Joinery

Cabinets leveled & secured, countertops templated & installed (stone/quartz seams set per manufacturer guidance). Sinks & fixtures installed with proper sealing and mechanical support.

Phase 6 — Flooring, Backsplash & Finishes

Install flooring transitions, backsplashes, trim, paint touch-ups, hardware, and final caulking using industry-standard sealants.

Phase 7 — Appliances, Commissioning & Final Walkthrough

Hook up & test appliances, verify ventilation & plumbing, perform client walkthrough, close punch list, deliver warranty documentation & maintenance tips.

Materials & Finishes — Common Options

Cabinetry

Stock, semi-custom, fully custom. Plywood box, dovetail drawers, soft-close hardware. Stock = fastest/cheapest; semi-custom = balance; custom = best fit & finish.

Countertops

  • Quartz: durable, low maintenance
  • Granite/Stone: natural look, periodic sealing
  • Solid surface (Corian): repairable, seamless
  • Butcher block: warm, requires maintenance

Backsplash

Subway tile, glass, porcelain slabs, full-height stone — style, budget, maintenance.

Flooring

Porcelain/ceramic tile, LVP, engineered hardwood, polished concrete — consider slip resistance, water exposure, acoustic underlayment.

Appliances & Ventilation

Select early. Match hood CFM to cooktop BTUs; vent exterior if possible.

Lighting & Hardware

Task lighting, under-cabinet LEDs, dimmers, soft-close drawers & full-extension glides improve daily use.

Typical Timeline: 3–10 weeks for full gut remodel.

Design & permit lead time: 1–6 weeks.

Permits & Inspections

We manage permits & schedule inspections: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, structural, final. Goal: minimize delays & meet code.

Payment & Financing

Transparent, itemized proposals with staged payments tied to milestones. Third-party financing available.

Typical milestones: 10–20% deposit, materials purchase, mid-project draw, final payment at completion.

Warranty & Maintenance

  • Workmanship: 2-year warranty
  • Manufacturer warranties: passed to homeowner
  • Tips: use cutting boards, clean grout & seals, check shutoffs annually
