Residential Remodel & Additions Design

In 2024, Global Arch Construction partnered with a Corte Madera homeowner to reimagine their single-story residence. The original 2,044 sq. ft. home was expanded and modernized through thoughtful design, precise engineering, and permit-ready plans that respected both local zoning and the homeowner’s lifestyle goals. The finished plan delivered a 2,285 sq. ft. residence that feels open, functional, and current.

How We Brought This Project to Life

Site Assessment & Client Goals

We began with a thorough site evaluation and consultation, documenting the homeowner’s objectives: expanded living areas, improved natural light, and refreshed exterior character.

Design Development

Our architecture and engineering teams produced a coordinated plan that introduced a 72 sq. ft. front addition and 168.6 sq. ft. rear addition, reconfigured the kitchen and master bathroom, relocated the laundry, and added walk-in closets. Exterior design enhancements included a new porch entry and reimagined roofline with hip/valley geometry.

Permitting & Compliance

Global Arch Construction prepared and submitted full permit-ready drawings, including structural engineering layouts, demolition and framing plans, Title 24 energy compliance reports, and zoning analysis (R-1, Flood Zone AE). The comprehensive documentation enabled a smooth permitting process.
