We began with an on-site consultation to understand the homeowner’s goals: expand the house, add an ADU for flexible living, and ensure the remodel was built safely for long-term use.
Our team created a construction plan that accounted for the flood-zone location near the Bay. Finished floors were designed to be raised 1 ft. above B.F.E. to protect the home. The plan included demolition of the existing roof and chimneys, relocating the main entry, and adding a 200 sq. ft. covered carport.
With the customer’s approval, we secured city permits and moved forward with structural and code upgrades: electrical service improvements, plumbing rough-ins, and compliance with state/local requirements.
Before construction began, the homeowner selected the stucco color, window style, roofing, patio finishes, and railing systems. Our crew then built the two-story ADU, installed all new exterior finishes, and completed the electrical/plumbing tie-ins. The result: a strong, modern home ready for daily living in a flood-prone area.
